U.S.-China Competition for Global Influence

You are invited to a discussion on “U.S.-China Competition for Global Influence.” The discussion will feature Ashley J. Tellis (Carnegie Endowment for International Peace; NBR), Michael Wills (NBR), Alison Szalwinski (NBR), Sheila A. Smith (Council on Foreign Relations), Shirley Lin (University of Virginia), Liselotte Odgaard (Hudson Institute), and additional speakers (to be added).

The event is hosted by NBR and co-sponsored by the Sigur Center for Asian Studies and the East Asia National Resource Center.

The discussion will draw on the NBR publication Strategic Asia 2020: U.S.-China Competition for Global Influence (published on January 21, 2020), which offers a forward-looking assessment of how the rivalry between China and the United States is playing out around the globe.
